Why you received a supporter email
What a student chose to share, what the email leaves private, and how to stop future notes.
If Scholexis sent you a note, a student chose you and wrote its condition. This page explains that choice and what stays private.
The access grant came first
An access grant is a named record the student creates for your Scholexis account. You see it under Manage access and choose whether to accept it. The row names the student, the View only or Edit permission they selected, its scope, Planning items (assignments, tasks, and courses), and its status.
That row does not open a supporter view of those planning items today. The current product has no shared-plan page for a supporter and no supporter-facing edit flow. After you accept the grant, the student can attach one tripwire alert. They may set an expiry date and can revoke the grant.
Accommodations, energy check-ins, focus and reflection history, grades, and profile details stay outside the grant. Neither the grant row nor the alert email displays them.
The student chose one condition
After the grant is accepted, the student may set one condition for you:
- a number of things have gone past due; or
- a number of days have passed without a check-in or anything finished.
Scholexis calls the resulting note a tripwire alert. It is sent once when the student’s chosen number is reached, then stays quiet while the condition remains met.
They choose the condition and the number. They can change it or remove it. Scholexis records when a note was sent so the student can see what happened.
The email repeats the condition the student chose. It does not include assignment titles, course names, grades, notes, anything the student wrote, or values from an energy check-in. It does not judge the number.
You can stop the notes
Every alert includes a stop them here link. Its address starts with
scholexis.app/supporter-alerts/stop. Opening the link changes nothing; press
Yes, stop them on the page to confirm.
Stopping the notes leaves the access grant as it was. The student is not notified that you stopped them. If the link is incomplete or no longer valid, nothing changes; email [email protected] and a person will sort it out.
